Tony Chadwick
I am a retired professor of French, having taught at Memorial University of Newfoundland for 37 years, and am pursuing my research into the work of Jacques Lacan, the influential psychoanalyst. In particular I am focussing on an essay L'Etourdit which was first published in Silicet in 1972, trying to provide an English translation for the Englis-speaking Lacanian community. I have completed a first draft up to page 44 of the Silicet version (the essay has also been reprinted in Autres Écrits, but contains editorial changes from the initial version, including some typos) and will post what I have so far with a view to getting feedback to improve the final version.
